Three NFL may reportedly face punishment for illegally tampering with Baltimore Ravens superstar offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley.

Before free agency, the Ravens and Ronnie Stanley agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $60 million. The soon-to-be 31-year-old has spent his entire nine-year career with Baltimore.

Speaking on NBC Sports Boston, Sports Illustrated NFL insider Albert Breer reported that the Kansas City Chiefs offered Stanley around $20 million annually. Breer also reports that the Washington Commanders and New England Patriots each offered him over $24 million per season.

As noted by the ML Football X/Twitter account, the teams who tried signing Ronnie Stanley may have committed tampering since he was still under contract with Baltimore when they issued their offers:

It should be noted that the NFL hasn’t confirmed if any tampering was committed. But if they launch an investigation and determine so, the Chiefs, Patriots and Commanders could face punishments for illegal tampering. In 2022, the NFL determined that the Miami Dolphins committed illegal tampering when they spoke to quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Sean Payton when they were with the Patriots and New Orleans Saints, respectively.

Miami owner Stephen Ross was suspended for the first six games of 2022 and received a $1.5 million fine. Additionally, the Dolphins had their 2023 first and 2024 third-round selections docked.

Did three Ravens’ rival teams also commit tampering when talking to Ronnie Stanley? We’ll provide more details if they become available.

The Pro Bowl offensive tackle has been the mainstay of Baltimore’s o-line since Lamar Jackson entered the league as a rookie in 2018. With Baltimore in win-now mode, it only made sense to extend Stanley and keep him here for the rest of his prime.
